The place name "Stump" seems of Basque origin or Iberian. In Mozarabic documents from 1233, this figure farmhouse; then it is named "Hits", abscribiéndosela to region of The Armhole; it could mean "game of table or dice, vine of the trees or ground to the left". In the XIIth century it names "Assueca". This village was populated temporarily by the Mozarabs of Toledo. There were not constituting a municipality, but quarter or suburb of this city. His principal activity was vineyards cultivation and alone when it is worked and gathers the harvest they were residing in the farmhouse, returning to Toledo later. In the village only there were staying the servants and the lodgers who are those who go doing the permanent population.
