The town of Guadamur, as his name indicates, it is of Arab origin and it means "I laugh at the step". It is not possible to need the epoch of his foundation, but it is known that it was already inhabited in the Hispanic-Roman epoch. The population continues in the epoch visigoda taken root in the Guarrazar passage. The Christian population emphasizes how in this town they kept on coexisting with the Moslem invaders, already like Mozarabs. Occupied territory for Alfonso VI they constructed themselves some castles and they restored the Moslem towers. Concerning the Guadamur castle it went away grouping the hamlet of the town. In 1477 he contributes to support of the Holy Brotherhood.
