Huecas could derive of "osca" that is like "notch" or also to proceed of "cocca or hollow". For some there derives from a term Hispanic - Arab, "Wakkas". Within a period of Pansies have been sílex instruments. The Romans established in the place, to the west of the current hamlet, a town;. surviving her remains that date of the IIIrd century and IV of our Age. Also coins of the epoch have been of Constantino Big. The Hispanic-Roman colonists, appreciated it kindness of these grounds cultivating them being an agricultural center of cieto interest. It is probable that it was continuing the hamlet in the epoch visigoda. In 1465 Juan II did thanks to don Pedro López de ayala, son of the biggest famous chancellor of Castile, of Pansies' place; authorizing him, in 1468, to construct a castle here. At the beginning of the XVIth century there gets up the roll that indicates town jurisdiction, with the shield of Ayala. In the second one half of the XVIth century speaks to itself about a town "Mocen or Mucen", term of Arabic origin; it was placed to half a league to the east of Pansies.
