The Ash grove is placed in the place of Valbellido, name that it means ‘valle beautifully or beautiful ’, between the confluence of the pool of the Almond tree, for the left, and of old cemetery, for the right. The Valbellido creek is born for on the highway that goes of Thorny to The Plain mountains. His course is parallel to the river Gébalo and it ends in him, in the lower Mill, after having covered approximately 8 km.

In Valbellido there were ash-trees. In 1907 three last ones cut that were staying. In the raised area that occupies now the village there had to be a bosquecito of ash-trees that gave to the farming the name of “La Ash grove ”.
It is rich in archaeological patrimony, because for these grounds all the Towns and cultures happened. Of prehistoric times some traces stay in The Hammer, as they are recorded and rock paintings of big interest. Also one finds here smelting of iron of the Iron Age. Of Celtiberian epoch an Iberian cemetery exists , and a burial of Roman epoch. Romans turned the Iberian town into Roman town, going it waters down for a few canalillos excavated in the rock. The visigoths and Muslims also have left trace of his step along this vale.
