The name The Plain mountains of Ricomalillo proceed of phrase "rich yellow gold"; but some students inform that in the antiquity was called "a Plain mountains of the Poor Corner" and this way foundation letter appears in , being called "a Plain mountains" by extension, for being this one name of the high plateau of the "Mogorro", and referring "Corner" to his situation in the stream bed formed between two Mogorros, and "Poor" for the difficult and rural of the area of his primitive one emplacement.
