According to the relations of Felipe II in 1576: I populate: it was called "The Sales of Head of Retamosa", and the motive of such was because "there was a hill that "Head of Retamosa" one says and there was a sale that belonged to the bartender of the master of the town of Casarrubios". In the gap of the population between Camarena and Casarrubios of the Mount, arises a sale and of her the hamlet that takes stated name. It was, undoubtedly, a place of inn; in the XVIIIth century there are three inns. In the XVIth century he says that "it is a passing place and is in the Real Way of Madrid to Portugal". Anthony Pérez and Francisco de Magadán founded the place Fernández, perhaps of the place toledano of Magán. In 1542 it did Town, or, had Town hall. The place was part of territory of Casarrubios of the Mount and there depended on this one important town, like village. In the year 1743 it is declared a town by grace of Felipe V, separating of the Casarrubios jurisdiction. (Fte.-Texto Delegation to see link) |
