The Latin word "Liliun" causes to "lilio" and to "lillo" that means "iris", for there is in the outskirts a flooded area, where many irises grow. Roman archaeological remains are located in his term; and in Middle Age we know that it belonged to the crown; later it happened to form part of the Priory of Saint John. In 1430, the prelate toledano Don Juan Martínez de Contreras, it did town to him of for itself, allowing of to belong to the town of the Guard. He contributes in 1477 to support of the Holy Brotherhood. In 1576 it kept on belonging to the archbishops of Toledo and it is part of the government of Yepes in the civil thing and in the ecclesiastic of the arciprestazgo of The Guard.
