The name of Menasalbas derives of contraction of the Latin terms: "ore" (column) and "dawn" (half note). Therefore "Menasalbas" could mean "battlements white"

DESERTED PLACE OF JUMELA
Placed to 4 Km of the municipality, it is one of the built-up areas more ancient of the region, which became depopulated definitely to beginning of the S.XIX.
