The title of the Ist populate of Montearagón proceeds of to be an area dedicated to mounts in that epoch and to be his assumption proprietor the said King of Aragon. The history is quite dark to this Town for having no precedents concrete. In his outskirts it have found burials of that do echo to themselves a relation of the XVIth century. Immediate one was spending Roman way parallel to the Tagus, in his north side. One does not know date about the foundation of the Town, but according to any precedents, it is said that there was property of a King of Aragon called Ramírez, who had constructed a Monastery, about which, the Town formed. Montearagón occupied by the Christians between the years 1085-1086, would be repopulated soon. About 1436 there acquires the town hall some of the grounds that in his term possesses the Order of Calatrava. In the middle of the XVIth century the council had grounds next to the Tagus.
