Town hall

The name of "Montesclaros", it stems to whiteness of his covered mounts of limestone.

In the development of the limekilns it was possible to cause the town. it is located on the foot of a gully. In a publication of the XIXth century it is said that the town has his origin in two farming, called Higueruela and Duckling. It belonged, at the end of the XVth century, to the dominion of Mendoza, for his Marquess's Montesclaros title; created by Carlos I in 1530 in favor of don Rodrigo de Mendoza and Moon, gentleman of habit of Santiago. In this time the church was finishing the construction of and of the tower, in ogival line. Also in this century the jurisdictional villazgo roll gets up. In the middle of the century XVIII, belongs to the Navamorcuende state.
