"Navamorcuende", could mean: "Them meadows of the count" because his words refer: 1st "Plain mountains": to one plain mountains 2nd "Mor": Arab origin that means the meadows. 3rd "Cuende": archaism that count means. Her repopulation of the territory took place in the XIIIth century, being in 1276 when the Council of Avila donates the Navamorcuende estate to Blasco Ximénez, for the service that had given this city going to Belcaire, where the king was. It was raised in the century XV. This town belonged to the dominion of the Dávila, later Marquesses of Navamorcuende for grace of Felipe IV. In the helmet urban a palace exists in ruins reconstructed partly, and one garden bordering on the above mentioned building, which was occupied by the Marquess of Navamorcuende whose title was granted in 1674; from 1902 D.
