The Castilian word "broilers" is one diminutively of "climbing vines", recounted in this case to the vines of vines. It was a village of the dominion of a count of Oropesa up to 1642 that, after his population increases and in times of Felipe IV, for Royal decrees, town is done, being administered by himself, but without to free itself of the stately jurisdiction. At present, and with Towns of Lagartera, Herreruela de Oropesa, Caleruela, Roadway, Alcañizo, Torralba de Oropesa, Sales of San Julián and Navalcán; they form the called Bell of Oropesa.
