The place name of "Polán" is related with "populates", "pobladura" or "action to populate or to be inhabited". His origin is possibly a Latin American or latinizado, and this way turn of the Mozarabs comes to us to . It looks like an archaism of the primitive romance. Polán dealt after Alfonso VI took the city (1085), but Almoravid reaction reconquered soon tada this area. Close to current Polán was suffered in 1116 a defeat by the Almoravid ones that were coming from Ear. His mayor was conquered by the Christians toledanos. Polán was a Mozarabic village. A Mozarab was possessing in that one herendad the fourth part while other was possessing the rest. East gave two third parts of his property to forty six persons so that they were populating the estate, turning it in village, having there his birth the new Polán place.
