The place name of "Polán" is related with "populates", "pobladura" or "action to populate or to be inhabited". His origin is possibly a Latin American or latinizado, and this way turn of the Mozarabs comes to us to . It looks like an archaism of the primitive romance.

Polán dealt after Alfonso VI took the city (1085), but Almoravid reaction reconquered soon tada this area.
