"Breach" is a diminutive one of Latin origin, derived from door; in this case door that is opened "in the wall of an estate"; another meaning: "door of made estate of grills of wood". "Portiello", "Portiella" is a form term Asturian. In 1161 one speaks about a "Portellu" in a document of Alfonso VII, where there were properties given for the king to the monastery of Batres's Santa Maria. But the testimony more ancient than the reference to Breach we it find in one document of the Cathedral toledana of the year 1142. In 1575 we are before a village realenga in the jurisdiction of Toledo. Of time immemorial it has a use of grasslands, called "The Quarrel". The duke of Maqueda has a few houses and a lot of grounds, olives, vineyards. The houses are of stone and some brick, with armor of pine wood. They all live of the working of the ground. In the middle of XVIth century was considered to be to Breach a principal Town in Kingdom of Toledo. In the reign of Felipe IV, and in accordance with count did town to himself.
