It is possible that it takes his name of the Gallic saint originally of Tours, of cult much extended in Castile that gave name to several chapels and to a beekeepers' famous Brotherhood, shepherds, hunters and farmhands, call of "St Martin of Montiña". For belonging to the Montalbán dominion it has his second name.
