In the beginning. this Town knew each other like "The Pozuelo" due to a well that was supplying them. With the repopulation the new town arises more to the west of the previous one that will take name of "St Martin of Valdepusa" for a church that the devotion was made for to St Martin a Bishop and for the master of Valdepusa, proprietor of the grounds. In 1517 the name of "Pozuelo" was getting lost, being supported that of the Saint. In 1357 it establishes the Valdepusa dominion in grounds that belonged to Talavera for Pedro l. The territory was already inhabited at least in the epoch visigoda and later in the Muslim, Reconquistado the country, when it does the real donation of the dominion, inhabitants already existed from century Xll in the area known as "The Pozuelo", where the first houses were built . Between the year 1425 and 1430 it is repopulated with neighbors of Bernuí, who after the drought must go out of his Town, but the new Town is constructed more on the west and the Pozuelo local community was moving to the new hamlet of St Martin, this way they realized works of water supplying of the ancient well about 1550, all of them being established then in St Martin.
