The word "Segurilla", in our case recounted to a town with a lookout, comes to mean "line or fortified, sure, frontier area". we must look for Segurilla origin some years after the occupation Christian of the territory. It formed this one departs from the extensive alfoz of Talavera of the Queen, given by Alfonso VI. The territory is quoted in the XIth century. Reigning Sancho IV desmembra a small part of Talavera term, giving to Juan García of Toledo, his doorman major, between other grounds, those of Segura in 1299. A descendant of this one, called Diego García of Toledo, marries Mrs Catalina, daughter of chief magistrate Gómez Manrique and Mrs Juana of Mendoza. That first marriage keeps on possessing the dominion of Segurilla, Improved, Magán, Cervera and Cambrillos. In 1532 Improved and Segurilla finishes his suit with Talavera, on replacement of limits, in areas of The Rocky area and Miraflores. In 1569 one gives herself accomplishments for the suit had between the count of Oropesa, her town of Improved and the places of Cervera and Segurilla, on uses of the terms that border on Guayerbas.
