Town hall

It appears already in medieval documents as "Villamellis", "Bilamil", "Bilamiel" and "Vyllamiel", being "Viyamiel" her pronunciation typically toledana. For the year 1674 the name of our Town been Villafiel of Beautiful Source, for town was in this time of the Marquess of Beautiful Source

In 1176 he quotes the Villamellis farmhouse owing to the assertion for Alfonso VIII of a few privileges granted by Alfonso VII Emperor to Pedro Alguacil, on the property of Villamiel. East Town already existed in the middle of the XIIth century like farmhouse of Toledo; farmhouse that should have belonged, from his beginning like population, to Toledo. The successors of Pedro Alguacil possessed it also, happening probably for donation, to be a property of the mitre toledana until, in 1228 they agree the archbishop of Toledo gift Rodrigo Jiménez of Inlet and the order of Saint John of the Hospital, spending this farmhouse to depend on the charge of The Tint and on the bailía of Elm trees. Soon, in the year 1235, it receives from the above mentioned order jurisdiction or letter populates. The place does town to itself in 1674, belonging to the Marquess of Beautiful Source.
