The origin of the place name "Villaseca" derives from "Aceca", that in turn originates from the Latin American "sicca", to which Arab article was added . In the relation of 1576 one affirms that "it is very lacking in water" and hence his name, Villaseca. Neighbors of the most ancient Aceca came to populate the modern one Villaseca. The immediate proximity of the Tagus would cause them consequent marshy fevers and, as it was already not necessary to defend the way that happens for the river, founded Villaseca more to the north, in healthy place and in soil of good fertility cerealística. In 1477 is one of the Towns that constribuyen to the support of the Saint Brotherhood of Toledo. The companionable troops of the bishop Acuña, named antiarchbishop of Toledo, attacked the Ist populate of Villaseca and palace of the feudal gentleman, burning the majority of his houses. The king Carlos I ordered the burned and destroyed part to raise with materials of the ruined house of Juan de Padilla, ordered to beat in in punishment of his rebelliousness. There enjoys his population of the Common one of St Martin the Montiña. (Fte.-Texto Delegation to see link) Nucleus: Aceca |
