The extension of the municipality is 12 Km2, with big forests of radiata pine and recreational areas with oak grove and oak wood. For the center of the Town it thinks up the river Arratia and the river Laureta, who are born in the spurs of the Gorbeia.
In the Artea environment, the municipalities are located of Arantzazu, Areatza, Dima, Zeanuri, Zeberio and Orozko, with big vales and surrounded by big mountains that go from 600 m. to 1.400 m. of altitude, with beautiful sceneries so much for the montañero as for the fan of the photo.

Artea, is nailed in a very suitable place for any activity related to the half ambience - nature, and with activities cultural in that the proper Town hall realizes all the possible efforts.
