Placed in the center - south of the province. There waters the term the river Ibaizabal, which covers it from E. to O. Them altitudes range between 190 m. and 634 m. from the Mandoia, to the S. The term is provided with an extension of 16,34 km2. The capital, Bedia-Elexalde porch, is E. of the municipality, in the right shore of the river, in a small flatness surrounded with areas mountainous,
Distributed in several quarters, most of them of character rural, Asteitza, Murtatza and especially Elexalde with the devices administrative of the municipality, would be his most populous nuclei and modern, especially the last one like administrative center of locality. The rest of dispersed hamlets repeats the common town planning in the area.
The parochial church of Saint John Bautista was constructed in 1749 and it is possible to frame in a baroque style something more slender and ornamentally that what gets accustomed in a great part of the territory vizcaíno. It is in the Elexalde quarter.
Three chapels survive in dispersed Bedia in his quarters: San Lorenzo in Murtatza, Santo Tomás in Eroso-Ugarte and St Martin in Ereño. A fourth existed in Elexalde, Saint John Bautista, first temple of cult previous to the parish, missing person after needs for space.
