Municipality vizcaino of the Metropolitan Area of Bilbao, with a 3,38 km extension it is placed in the skirts of the Saw Ganguren and implanted, in turn, in the fertile plain that the river Nervion forms between two meanders, giving place to the peninsulas of Legizamon and of Uríbarri. The Etxebarri term turns out to be for the first time tied to the “camino of Echevarri ”, millennial route in the trade route that from Castile was passing for Orduña up to Bermeo. There were the first times of Christianity in Basque Country (century. Xl) and Etxebarri was depending on Santa Maria of Ganguren (Galdakao) until in the XVIth century. Palace Leguizamón. This voluminous neoclassic big house with vain of lime chairs served of flour mill for reconvertirse in XIXth century in paper mill. From the floods of 1972 it has fallen down in desuetude.

Etxebarri offers to us four dates where to be able to savor entirely the happiness and the coloring in our streets.
The Management Holidays are the days of Santa Ann and San Esteban (26 of July and December 26, respectively).
