The Municipality of Güeñes finds placed in the oriental area of the region of the Encartaciones, inside Province of Biscay, nailed in the vale of the river "Cadagua", being provided with an extension of 41,49 km2. It is located in an area hard eventful, in a narrow vale covered by the ría "Cadagua" and surrounded by the mounts "Ubieta" and "Eretza" to the north and "Ilso", "Gallarraga" and "Ganekogorta" for the south.
