Description
The name of the spa owes to its founder, Benito Palacios MarÃn who, the year ago 1850, it began in this place its activity of bathrooms. For that time, the proprietor of these lands was the Marquis of Valdeguerrero, neighbor of Alcaraz, to the one who Don Benito, together with another partner, bought some hectares of land, when knowing the growing fame that he was acquiring a spring that sprouted in the property.
It counts the legend that a sow, abandoned by its owners, makes sick of rheumatism, he/she recovered of its ailment, thanks to the healing properties of the water. This was the reason for the one which, people of the environment that suffered some illness of bones, took a bath in this pond and she wrapped up with the mud to be treated. When the water was cold, they heated stones with fire and they introduced them to heat up it.
