Description
Perlora, City of Vacations asturias town.Perlora is a parish of the town council of Carreño, in the Principality of Asturias. Also, it is a town of this same town council with a half altitude of about 20 meters on the sea level and with a population of 755 inhabitants (INE 2007).
They are reseñables the presence of presumably Roman vestiges: The tower of the Castle of Yavio and the existence of a tourist complex of great importance in the past, built during the régime franquista, the Residential City Perlora, with sport facilities, hotel, dining rooms, chalets, minigolf field, bowling alley, pool and even a church for the religious occupations. At the present time it is of property of the Principality of Asturias and great part of the complex remains abandoned.

Thanks to their location, it is a natural mirador from where some magnificent views can be contemplated of practically the whole valley of Low Peñamellera.
Their tower, dedicated in honor of San Antonio, it was built by the middle of the XX century, and the times of masthead ago, as if it was a seafaring lighthouse. To their side he/she is the chapel of the same name. They are several the fifths and large houses that, blended with the popular houses, they remind us last times from the emigration to America.
Saint John the Baptist church, located in the highest area in the town, is worthy of visiting. It has elements románicos and Gothic; and to their he/she will see, a centennial oak impresses for its size.
