Description
MERCADILLO is a small village of Castile and León that it is in the county of Ávila and it depends on the City council of Narrillos of Álamo.
It is 1181 m. of altitude and in spite of their population shortage, the cuckoos, like the inhabitants of the area are called, they have known how to conserve the rural charm that every time misses but in the cities.
The historical only patrimony that is conserved is its church of the time of the románico that reflects the step of the years clearly. He/she keeps their essence and practically it has not been altered their structure from their construction.

Mijares is a town and municipality of the county of Ávila. It is located in the south area of Avila, in the heart of the Valley of Tietar.
The historical oldest reference and the first that we find of Mijares are that of the Book of the Hunts, written by XI Alfonso among the years 1342 and 1350, in which one makes reference to the places of this town: "Pinosa of the towers et the Sparrow hawks et Centenera et Encinar of Small Velasco; it is an entire mount; et is good in bears in ivierno et summer."
