To the south-west of the region of Community of Calatayud finds the municipal term of Alconhel de Ariza. Located in grounds of dry land and grain-producing cultivation, the Town breaks the yellowish color and ocher of this cultivation with his different ones constructions.

The name of Alconchel has Arab roots, although his situation frontier has not propitiated the conservation of his past, since the Castilian-Aragonese wars have marked his history, to the equal one that the majority of the Towns of the Community of Calatayud.
