Beautiful municipality washed by the waters of the Arba of Luesia. Further on, to 8 km, there is Malpica de Arba, whose town hall joined that of Biota in 1.971. The Town has at present approximately 40 inhabitants dedicated to the agriculture of dry land principally and there gathers together on a rocky hill in the margin left of the river of his name.

A town planning presents clearly medieval fruit of the process of poblamiento that Sancho Ramírez carried out during the IXth century. In the later centuries it was a dominion remaining good witnesses of it the form of palaces and other noble buildings, as there is the house of viscount of Biota, constructed in the XVIIth century along with the Tower of castle that gave birth to the nucleus.
Holidays: On Sunday following May 8, the young boys cut one tree later to plant it. On May 15 the holidays are celebrated in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary. The holiday management they take place from August 29 until September 2, approximately, and are in honor of San Miguel an Archangel. (ftes. and text to see links)
