The place name "Boquiñeni" is of Roman origin, of bucco, Buccio or Buccinius, but it it might be also an Arab, of "Abu Kinani', which is proper name.
Also there exist references of which it was in Boquiñeni where the Iberian mint "caraues" was located

Holidays: On May 25 the biggest holidays take place in honor of Saint Christ de la Capilla, San Miguel and San Gregorio of Ostia, with the pilgrimage to the chapel of San Gregorio and the traditional one "dances". on the first Sunday of October Our Lady is celebrated of Rosary.
