Calcena surrounded with mountains is located in the south slope of Somontano of the Moncayo to 836 m. of height, in the vale of the river Isuela. The city center raises from the left shore of the above mentioned river towards the summits of San Jose and Santa Barbara. The garden occupies the low part of the vale.

Out of the downtown, but without going out of the municipal term, they can visit five dispersed chapels for the mount, that of the Virgin of the Snow, that of St Kitts, that of San Jose, that of the Virgin and that of San Roque, along with whom incomparable native is enjoyed an ambience since this municipality has a big plenty of caves, ravines and wooded area of oaks, holm oaks or pines. It is worth highlighting the ravine of Valdeplata in which there is one mining development, or the caves the Sling and the Beautiful one, the last one a certification astonishes of the nature as its own name indicates.

Holidays: The biggest holidays are celebrated on the first Sunday of in August, to commemorate Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Steadfastness. On October 21 the boss of the town is celebrated, Saint Úrsula. Also two pilgrimages are done, on March 19 to chapel of San Jose, and in June to that of St Kitts. (ftes. and text to see links)
