Place of the province of Saragossa, to 120 kilometers of the capital. Placed in the piedemonte of the saw of Brown (Iberian System), along with the river Ortiz, tributary of the Landmark, to 790 meters of altitude. Annual average temperature, 11,8 grades C. Annual precipitation, 441 mm. Population: in 1998, 271 inhabitants; in 1900, 908 inhabitants; in 1950, 1.027 inhabitants. There comprises it entity of population of Llumes.

It celebrates his management holidays in August, that several usually last days, in general from 14 to 17. In addition to the management holidays already said, in honor of San Roque, on September 14 it is celebrated dedicated to the Virgin of the Castle, with pilgrimage to his chapel and diverse acts of popular character.
