Oseja is a small locality placed in center of the region of the region of the Aranda, in the spurs surorientales of the Saw of Tablado, on the halfway between Jarque and Calcena.

The municipality already existed in 1233 under the name of “Osella ” and dominion was with tower - castle of the mitre of Tarazona, in spite of his distance and difficult communication with this city in the XIVth century.

The city center is small and his streets are distributed irregularly, consequence of his Moslem past. In this area the tribe suited Berber of the Awsya, from whom the name comes of Oseja.
