Placed locality, together with bárboles, in more southern area of the region of the Bank Alta del Ebro, in limit with that of Valdejalón.

The most significant building of the locality is the church parochial of Saint John Bautista, of the XVIIIth century. Also we find the ancient palace of the counts of Burette and the tower of the dominion of López de Villanueva, dated in the XV.th century

There is a RESOLUTION of April 17, 2002, of the Headquarter of Cultural heritage, for which one proceeds to the delimitation of the so called «Turret of the Lordship» (Castle of the Counts of Burette) in Pleitas of Landmark (Saragossa) and of his I half-close, like continuation of the procedure initiated for his inclusion in the Catalog of the Aragonese Cultural heritage, and a public information period is opened .

It is not great what is known on of the Pleitas past. What yes we can affirm is the long link with the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of course up to the first part of the XIXth century, coinciding this moment with the process of dissolution of the diet stately in Spain, and the character eminently agricultural of population, in whom the irrigation played an important role.
