Pozuelo of Aragon is one of the localities more oriental than Borja's, distant field region approximately 13 Borja's kilometers, regional head.
Topónimamente was named "The Pozuelo" between the year 1543 and 1646, my name being then "Pozuelo" until the year 1910, and "Pozuelo of Aragon", as we know it today from 1920.
The most significant monument is the parochial church of Ours Lady of the Asunción, raised in the XVIth century in style Gothic - Mudejar. In his interior it lodges two important reredoses, major and that of Santa Ann, both of the XVIth century. Also, in proximities we find the chapel of Santa Ann, boss of locality, of the XVth century.
The pozuelanos celebrate his management holidays on January 17 (San Anthony) and on July 26 (Santa Ann), as well as on April 23, day of San Jorge, in which the parish priest carries out the blessing for fields and goes away of pilgrimage to the Mount Ocón. Probably that during these holidays taste pozuelanos and visitors the "adormidas" and them "saboyanas", his sweet most typical.
Most of his income comes from the cultivation of vine, which excellent broths find under the Denomination of Origin Field of Borja. (fte and texts to see links)
