There is in the final stretch of river Esca, which ends in turn in the river Aragon, proceeding of Pyrenees and crossing his north term on south just to the tail of Yesa reservoir, be threatened the locality I marry of regrowth is approved to the maximum level of the above mentioned marsh.
In turn, it is the step point for the exit of the vale of the Roncal, that occupies the vale of the river Esca, being part of the territory of Navarre. It separates it from Navarrese territory called Foz of Salvatierra, a narrow ravine excavated by the river.
Other water courses of his term are the creek of the Garonne, proceeding from the west, which is born between the saw of Leyre and the saw of Illón, and the ravine of Gabarre, proceeding from this one.
His municipal term borders for the north on that of Burgui, already in Navarre; for the East with those of Fago and Channel of Berdún; for the south with that of Sigüés and for the west with that of Bigüézal, the same way in Navarre.
Although the majority of his municipal term is flat, they emphasize towards the south the heights of the Saw of Orba, whose peak of more height, Orba, has 1.236 m. His north sector is the same way mountainous, emphasizing the peak of the Virgin of the Rock, with 1.291 m, y the Top from Salarina, with 1.044 m.

The urban framework is formed by equal plots and by three big streets that with perpendicular someone form apples also rectangular. The plots can be simple (farmhands), of five for twelve meters, or (riding) doubles, of ten for twelve meters, according to the social origin of the resettlers, as it establishes the Jurisdiction of Ejea. All that distinguishes still today in historical helmet of Salvatierra, declared Good of Cultural Interest; is to return at the middle age.
It counts with an imposing dedicated church - fortitude of Gothic style El Salvador, from his exterior he emphasizes a nice castellated tower. In the interior of the temple we are provided with an impressive reredos baroque, a choir chairs in carved stone and one of the organs more ancient than the whole Pyrenees dated in 1618 and recently restored.
Interesting is vistar the Ethnological Museum: The museum has been assined to lodge the most abundant pieces collection gathered from six years ago on initiative of a group of inhabitants of locality. The pieces donated by the inhabitants of Salvatierra, are catalogued and identified by the name of his owner, and illustrate all the aspects of the everyday life from ancient up to modern epoch.
